Appoint the worse manager in our history. Let that manager build a squad of dreadful players, take the areas of the team that needed the most improvement and make them worse. Repeatedly back that manager despite his horrendous decisions that would clearly result in the club heading towards relegation. Eventually remove that manager but appoint someone who has a horrendous transfer record and last time at this level managed an embarrassment of a relegation.
