Pars v Dumbarton

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to check, are we world beaters that will stroll the league again?

On a more serious note great result, no matter what sort of team Dumbarton were able to field. Strong result shows a professional approach; teams can all too easily decide a game will be "easy" and get caught out.

Tbh the negativity and the levels of self entitlement among some of our support beggars belief.

I think Peter Grant will be certified Marmite for most of our support. He is going to put his foot in it now and again due to his absolute positivity and unique demeanour. I like the guy, he'll have us noticed again. He's what is known as a 'character' 😂

The result today was heartening given our forwards are scoring.

Agreed, although we did switch off a bit for their consolation goal.

Pretty good performance overall though, I thought, and lots of changes made, plus four different scorers is always nice. McDonald looked excellent, I thought, as did Thomas.

Early days, but pleased with that, and of course it was brilliant to get back to EEP!

Dare I say that Peter Grant has a touch of the Leishman about him in the way he talks about the game. Listened to the Peter Martin podcast with him and was excellent, mainly about his whole career; talked about going to supporters events every Saturday after the game....

I was at a Celtic supporters event in the Phoneix in Oakley around 1984.

Peter Grant stood in for Tommy Burns and was there for a good few hours. Two things I mind about talking to him. My mate said to him 'you been to Phoneix before?' Grant replied 'aye, fukcin Arizona'

He then said 'what times dae the rebel tunes start', eager for a sing song.

Somebody put the window in about 20 minutes later 😂😂

Couldn't have asked for more, really

Douglas. please...

Do I strike you as the type of person who would willingly poison the sacred temple of my body with alcoholic beverages...?

While you consider that question, I'll have a pint of Special and a wee OVD...

Cheers neebs...
