Superally 663 Report post Posted January 20 Its back to Saturday fitba and we welcome Ayr Utd to EEP. After a somewhat turgid affair on our last outing against Morton most people will remember the Ayr game as being equally turgid with a 0-0 draw and our first clean sheet of the season. Hopefully this time round the Pars faithful will be expecting slightly better. Although the league table highlights we are still in second place the recent form guide indicated only 6 points from a possible 15 over 5 games with a single win, a loss and 3 draws. Hearts, Dundee Morton and ICT recent form has all been considerably better. Therefor 3 points are essential not only to maintain our position but to continue our position of strength for a play off place. Ayr Utd are a team that would hope to be doing better, they are 6th but have the worst form in the Championship managing 2 points in their last 5 games. Hopefully Ayr's poor form continues and that Pars can head into the second half of the season with a confidence boosting 3pts. COYP

Yorkie 81 Report post Posted January 21 What's the weather like in the Kingdom? Forecast is saying -3 overnight on Friday and Saturday not getting above 0 during the day.
Superally 663 Report post Posted January 22 The Arbroath v Dundee game was a good result for us, but only if we take 3points against Ayr. COYP
Keyser Soze 391 Report post Posted January 23 Still no word on a pitch inspection. Odd.
Keyser Soze 391 Report post Posted January 23 Scratch that. One at 12.15 which the club are calling precautionary. Given the conditions is it possible the USH has been on?
Superally 663 Report post Posted January 23 I did hear that the USH has been on, I suppose given recent weather a precautionary inspection is necessary
Keyser Soze 391 Report post Posted January 23 Yeah it’s the fact they’re calling it precautionary which would suggest they’re confident of it going ahead. Given overnight temperatures surely the only way the pitch will be playable will be ush?

SanguinePar 989 Report post Posted January 23 Not the best game, certainly for the last 20 minutes or so. Thought it was alright at first, but not much quality at the moment.
Superally 663 Report post Posted January 23 Better than the Morton game but not by much, Whitaker is losing a lot of the ball and McManus is looking too isolated.
SanguinePar 989 Report post Posted January 23 Marginally better this half, but that's not saying much.
